Have you ever noticed why the voltage of your facility sags or swells for a short time then returns back to normal? Once you start wondering on these phenomenal situations, welcome into the world of Power Quality. Power flow studies also are known as Power Quality and Load flow studies which are conducted to cover load forecasting, planning studies as well as operational studies. This course aims to teach you the fundamentals of power system analysis, making tedious calculations in power system studies easy to understand for you.
In Part-1 of Power Analysis Fundamentals series, we talked about balanced three-phase power, important principles for balanced system, power factor along with the detailed discussion on advantages and methods to select proper size of power factor correction equipment.
This is Part 2 of Power Analysis Fundamentals series. In this part, we will introduce you to the power flow concepts including understanding and solving power flow equations using Newton Raphson and Ybus Admittance Matrix. By the end of this module, you will learn how the power flow equations can be solved easily without any high consumption of time.
I hope you will join me and get benefit from it.
See you on the other side. Thank you and take care.
